This miniature Angel Song print was inspired by African American artist, Charles White’s Folksinger woodcut. I was looking at powerful and soulful black singers like Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and Whitney Houston while thinking about BLM protests and the struggle for racial justice.
Compassionate creation: I am donating $5 of each Angel Song print sold to the ACLU — justice, one step at a time for the long haul.
This print is also featured on the Society of Wood Engravers Angels Holiday Card available now.

This quartet of miniature images is part of Wendell Berry’s new book One of Us, published by Larkspur Press. I’m so pleased to be the illustrator for another “Port William” series book — the images are fun on their own, but the story gives them an added dimension of hilarity. Click on titles (above) to go to its shop page for purchase — you’re going to want a couple of these to keep you grinning and laughing!
Starpointe Studio’s original, hand-printed designs and practical, adjustable nose wire and ear bands, filter pocket, and multiple sizes (see size chart here) are the key to comfort in face masks. But don’t take my word for it: read all 25 five-star reviews on my Etsy page!
Starpointe Studio is committed to sustainable and compassionate creation — for every mask sold, we will donate $2 to Heifer International USA from now until January 1st, 2021
Buy yours today in my online shop (face masks) OR on my Etsy page — if you cannot find a color, size, and/or specific design combination that you want — reach out and ask. I can usually make-to-order masks within 4-6 business days.
Thanks to Sarah Finn for her elegant visage modeling the moth mask in royal blue.
Warbler Tree Choir is an original wood engraved illustration commissioned and printed by October Press (Deborah Kessler) for author, Barbara Kingsolver’s “Love Poem, With Birds,” a broadside poem from her recent book How to Fly (In Ten Thousand Easy Lessons) published by HarperCollins, 2020.
Limited edition print and broadside are now available in my shop — click underlined titles above to shop.
The Promise was created to illustrate a love poem: Side-Sewn by author/poet Timothy Kleiser for his wife on their anniversary. An ode to love, trust, and devotion — this illustration accompanied his poem as a broadside/ poster.
The broadside is hand-set in 18 pt. Garamond type, published by Starpointe Studio, 2020.
A very limited edition of this image and broadside poem are available.
ALL of my bookish items (business card holders, mini blank books, artist books) and greeting cards are in stock — thoughtful, unique and artistic gift options.
I am thankful to all my friends, family, patrons, and supporters — thank you for making life more meaningful and hopeful.
